Dr. V Chen serves as Global Coordinator of Field Ministries with Medical Ambassadors International. He and his wife, Christine, worked together with an international NGO in Central Asia where he served as director of community development and preventive health, and coordinated several project teams. Dr. Chen has also trained and consulted for other organizations in community development education.

Dr. Chen received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine and his Masters of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Before joining MAI, he worked as a Faculty Physician in the Stanislaus County Family Medicine Residency Program and in a county health center in west Modesto. He and his wife, Christine, live with their two daughters in Modesto, California.
